How this calculator works
Every date from your start date to your end date is checked: Saturdays and Sundays are excluded automatically, and — if enabled — the 11 official US federal holidays are excluded too, correctly calculated per year including floating holidays (like "3rd Monday of January" for MLK Day) and weekend-observed shifting rules. Add your own custom shutdown days or regional holidays and they'll be excluded as well.

How many business days are between two dates?
Enter a start and end date. The calculator counts every Monday-to-Friday date in that range and subtracts weekends automatically. If "Exclude US federal holidays" is checked, it also removes the 11 US federal holidays (with weekend-observed shifting applied) from the count.
How many weekdays are between two dates?
"Weekdays between two dates" and "business days between two dates" mean the same thing here: every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the range, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. If you also exclude US federal holidays, uncheck that option to see the plain weekday-only count instead.
Does it include US federal holidays automatically?
Yes, by default. All 11 US federal holidays are calculated for the correct year(s) in your date range, including floating holidays (like the 3rd Monday of January for MLK Day) and weekend-observed shifting (a holiday landing on Saturday is observed the preceding Friday; on Sunday, the following Monday). You can turn this off or add your own custom holiday dates.
Can I add my own custom holidays or company days off?
Yes. Paste any additional dates (one per line, YYYY-MM-DD format) into the custom holidays box — for example company shutdown days, regional holidays, or personal days off — and they'll be excluded from the business day count and the CSV export.
